The stroke diet is based on the principles of fractional nutrition, and the caloric content of the diet should not be more than 2500 kcal. The diet menu for strokes must contain complex carbohydrates from plant foods, proteins, and fats of vegetable origin.

Stroke recovery diet recommends eating small portions at least 4 times a day. The last meal should be moderate and no later than 3 hours before bedtime. The total volume of foods per day should not be more than 2 kg. The volume of the liquid is recommended within 1 liter. Use of sugar should be excluded or limited to 50 g. per day.
