Hepatitis C is a dangerous viral disease that affects the liver and reduces the immune system. Transmitted through the blood: in tattoos and manicure salons, in dental clinics, etc. Treatment of the disease is certainly accompanied by a strict diet, the menu of which is designed to reduce the load of the liver and strengthen the immune system.

The principle of diet for hepatitis C

Hepatitis C is dangerous because it destroys the liver, and in case of complications it leads to cirrhosis and even to cancer. Treatment of the disease is accompanied by a diet, which some patients are forced to adhere to throughout life to avoid complications. The therapeutic menu is aimed at shaking the liver, and therefore in the diet, products containing carbohydrates and proteins predominate.

Dietary menu for hepatitis C involves reducing consumption of animal fats and salt, acid fruits and vegetables, confectionery products with an abundance of creams, carbonated drinks, coffee, alcohol. Diet for hepatitis C is a high-calorie diet. The patient should receive at least 2300-2400 calories per day. The daily menu is designed for five meals in small portions. It is recommended to increase the volume of consumed liquid (water, weak tea, decoctions) to 2,5 liters per day.

Permitted and Prohibited Products

In the diet menu for the treatment of hepatitis C are allowed:

  • lean varieties of meat and poultry (rabbit, turkey, chicken);
  • low-fat fish;
  • porridge (buckwheat, oatmeal, rice);
  • dairy products of low fat content;
  • yesterday's or dried bread, biscuits;
  • not acidic fruits and vegetables;
  • jelly, jam, pastille, marmalade.

From drinks it is recommended to use in the diet menu not strong green and black tea, compotes, decoctions.

When observing a therapeutic diet for hepatitis C, the use of the menu is prohibited:

  • fatty meat and fish;
  • fried, smoked products;
  • sharp and pepper sauces, spices;
  • confectionery, chocolate, ice cream;
  • fresh bakery products;
  • red and black caviar;
  • beans, mushrooms;
  • cream, fermented baked milk, sour cottage cheese;
  • coffee, alcohol.

Menu with chronic form

The disease with hepatitis C, which has taken a chronic form, requires a long course of treatment. To normalize liver function, and to avoid cirrhosis, doctors prescribe a therapeutic diet for the patient. The menu is dominated by dishes containing protein and carbohydrates. When dieting, consumption of animal fats is minimized. Nutrition is frequent, 5-6 once a day in small portions. The thermal treatment of products is shown, mainly in cooked and stewed. Alcoholic drinks during the diet are completely excluded.

When the disease is in an exacerbation stage

In case of hepatitis C disease, which has taken the stage of exacerbation, a diet is prescribed, the most gentle liver. From the menu, all fatty meat varieties are excluded, as well as meat broths, fried, smoked, canned, spicy and peppery dishes, marinades, fresh baked goods and confectionery, chocolate, carbonated and alcoholic beverages. Excluded from the diet with a diet: garlic, radishes, onions and radishes.

Dish recipes

  • low-fat cottage cheese 250 gr;
  • manga 1 st. a spoon;
  • granulated sugar 1,5 st. spoons;
  • butter 1 st. a spoon;
  • 1 egg;
  • raisins 50 gr.

We beat the sugar with the egg. Mix cottage cheese with softened butter. Mix cottage cheese, eggs with sugar, mango, raisins to a homogeneous mass. We put the mass in a baking dish, greased with butter. Bake 30 minutes in the oven.

Carcasses of pollock are washed, salt. Carrots are peeled, cut into circles. We rub the cheese on the grater. On a greased baking sheet, spread the fish fillets, evenly covering it with carrot slices. Whisk until smoothly sour cream with milk. We pour the sauce over the fish. Top with cheese. Bake in a preheated oven for 30 minutes until ready.

  • rice 50 gr;
  • butter 25 gr;
  • milk 1% 500 gr;
  • vegetable oil 1 st. a spoon;
  • powdered sugar 1 st. a spoon.

We carefully rinse the rice, mix it with milk and sugar powder, put it in a form greased with vegetable oil. Top with butter we spread. We place in an oven heated to 150 degrees and bake 1,5 hours, occasionally stirring.

Rice pudding diversifies the menu in the treatment of hepatitis C. With a diet, it can be consumed as a dessert and served with jam, jam or fresh fruit.

  • water 1 l;
  • berries (currants, raspberries, cherries);
  • brown sugar 150 gr.

Rinse the berries, mash. Through gauze, drain the juice. Pulp send into a pan, pour boiling water, cook 15 minutes on low heat. The resulting broth strain through gauze, add sugar to the filtered juice, leave to cool. In the cooled fruit juice we add juice of fresh berries. Morse is served chilled, preferably in glasses with ice.

Stewed turkey with vegetables

  • turkey fillet 400 gr;
  • tomatoes 2 pcs;
  • Bulgarian pepper 1 pcs;
  • water 1 glass;
  • a pinch of salt.

Wash the fillets, cut into small pieces, salt. Tomatoes should be boiled, peeled, cut into cubes. Pepper should be cleaned of seeds, rinsed, finely chopped. Put tomatoes and peppers in a heated pan for 5 minutes. We put into the frying pan the chopped pieces of turkey, carefully mix. Pour a glass of water, bring to a boil. We reduce the heat, stew, until the liquid evaporates completely (on average 20-30 minutes), stirring occasionally.

In the treatment of chronic hepatitis C shows the use of stewed vegetables with turkeys on the menu for lunch or dinner. According to the diet for hepatitis C in acute form, the excess fluid must definitely be decanted.
