Diet with duodenal ulcer

But we must not forget about the curative diet, non-observance of which negates all the efforts of doctors. The regimens of therapeutic nutrition have been developed specifically to facilitate the treatment of peptic ulcer and to normalize the secretion of gastric juice that damages the mucous membrane of the duodenum.
It must be remembered that products that excite increased secretion of hydrochloric acid are:
– various seasonings and spices (pepper, mustard, horseradish, cloves, etc.);

– coffee and tea (strong);
– fried food (including fried vegetables and fish);
– rich meat, fish and mushroom soups;

After surgery, the diet is prescribed on the fourth or fifth day and involves the use of low-fat broth, mashed chicken meat, liquid cereals, tea with lemon and breadcrumbs of white bread.
