Diet with elevated creatinine in the blood provides:

  • Restriction of animal protein and animal fats. The protein decreases to 40-60 g per day. Its quantity is replenished at the expense of dairy products, and meat can be consumed no more than 2-3 once a week.
  • For athletes, exclusion of nutrient mixtures (geyners, concentrated protein, creatine).
  • Maintenance of caloric content of a diet at the expense of low-fat white fish, sour-milk products, dairy products, complex carbohydrates (porridges, whole-grain bread, vegetables), vegetable oils.
  • Limitation / exclusion of simple carbohydrates, replacing them with complex ones – fruits, vegetables, dark cereals, bread with bran or coarse grinding.
  • Adequate drinking regime. The amount of liquid (pure water) per day should ideally be 30 ml per 1 kg of weight. Soups, compotes, coffee in the account are not taken. If it is difficult to drink such a quantity, then at least it should not be less than 1,5 l.
  • Sharp restriction of table salt – it is important for hypertension and kidney pathology.
  • In the case of kidney pathology, the exclusion of irritating products: acute spices and snacks, alcohol, broths, strong coffee and tea, chocolate.
  • With kidney diseases, the amount of potassium and phosphorus in the diet is limited. This applies to chocolate, dried apricots, prunes, raisins, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, pistachios, legumes, fish, dairy products.
  • Culinary processing of food in the form of cooking (broths of meat and poultry pour out). Eating small meals and 5-6 once a day.

Diet with elevated creatinine should contain:

  • Low-fat chicken breast, turkey, veal in boiled form. When cooking meat first boiled, and then cooked at the discretion (you can bake or put out with vegetables). This method reduces nitrogenous substances. Portion is no more than 55-60 g 2 times a week.
  • Eggs – one per day and no more than three per week.
  • 300-400 g of vegetables. Garnish can be prepared from stewed carrots, pumpkin, cabbage, sweet pepper, beets, eggplants, cauliflower, tomatoes, green peas, zucchini, limiting the consumption of potatoes and legumes (contain protein). Most of the vegetables should be eaten raw and often include a leaf salad. If the potassium restriction is attributed, the vegetables are soaked for several hours before cooking.
  • Vegetarian soups are groats and vegetables, including cabbage soup, borsch and beetroot.
  • Low-fat white fish: hake, navaga, pike, pike perch, carp, blue whiting, pollock, cod. It is prepared, like meat, serving the same.
  • Cereals are different in preference (limited in the diet for chronic renal failure).
  • Fruits and berries in processed and raw form.
  • Milk and dairy products up to 200-300 g, if there are no restrictions. Curd is used in quantities up to 50 g daily.
  • Juices are vegetable and fruit, not strong tea and coffee.
  • Butter and vegetable oil.
