Diet with liver disease

Liver diseases are widespread at the present time, which is caused by the growth of medicinal, viral or toxic effects on the organ. Chronic hepatitis are the most common among liver diseases. In 60-70% of patients with hepatitis there may be no complaints, and pathology is detected accidentally upon detection hepatomegaly (enlargement of the liver) and changes in liver samples. In some cases, the debut of the disease is decompensated cirrhosis of the liver (manifested ascitic syndrome, bleeding from the enlarged veins of the esophagus).

What kind of diet should be observed in these diseases? Diet with liver disease in the acute period should be as gentle as possible. This is achieved using only boiled (steam), wiped dishes: twisted meat, chicken, fish, boiled vegetables, boiled semi-liquid porridge. Eating in an acute period contains:

  • Reduced amount of refractory fats and salt.
  • Increased amount of lipotropic products (cottage cheese, buckwheat, whey, buttermilk).
  • Soups, cooked on vegetable broths with cereals and fried vegetables. To refuel soups, vegetables can not be fried. Allowed soups, mashed potatoes. Season soups with butter, sour cream, milk or cream.
