Dr. Moreno diet: 4 weight loss phase
The diet of Dr. Moreno is very popular among the female population, since it allows you to lose a fairly large amount of kilograms in a short period of time. The diet includes the 4 phase, each of which has its own characteristics.
The first stage is acceleration
This stage consists in a sharp decrease in the daily calorie content, which allows us to accelerate the metabolic process, which plays a big role in the weight loss process. The daily calorific value decreases to 1200 kcal. It is permissible to use:
- unsweetened varieties of fruit;
- starch-free vegetables;
- lean meat;
- dairy products with a low percentage of fat;
- green tea.
This stage lasts for two weeks.
The second stage – activation
Moreno diet in the second stage implies the shift of weight from the “dead point”, by increasing the proportion of carbohydrates and increasing the daily caloric value to 1500 kcal. Foodstuffs remain the same, only their amount is slightly increased. This stage lasts 20 – 30 days, depending on the number of extra kilograms.
The third stage is achievement
This stage lasts for 30 – 50 days and focuses on fresh vegetables and fruits, as well as whole grains. Between main meals small snacks are allowed, the calorie content of which should not exceed 100 kcal.
The fourth stage is the completion
This stage lasts about 4 – 5 months and includes the same products as in the third stage. There are exceptions – on weekends you can treat yourself to your favorite dishes, only, of course, in limited quantities.
