Static draft with dumbbells – technique of the exercise:

  1. Take the dumbbells in your hand, holding them on the sides of the trunk in straightened hands
  2. Legs shoulder width or narrower. Slightly bend your knees. The back is bent in the lower back and the pelvis back. This will be your starting position.
  3. Without bending more knees, bend over, inhaling the dumbbells down. Make sure that your hands are straightened, and your back is bent at the waist. Tip: Control the movement of dumbbells, it should be smooth and slow.
  4. On exhalation straighten the trunk, returning to the starting position. Keep your back bent at the waist during the whole exercise.
  5. Carry out the necessary number of repetitions.

Attention: do not perform this exercise if you have problems with the lower back. Carefully ensure that the back is constantly bent in the lower back. Otherwise, there is a risk of injury. Avoid jerks or sudden movements.

Variations: You can also perform this exercise using the barbell.
