Stretching triceps using a towel
Triceps stretching using towels – exercise technique:
- Be straight. Take a towel in hand, as shown in the picture. Hands are raised upwards, straightened above the head. The elbows are directed inward, the arms are perpendicular to the floor, the palms facing each other. Legs shoulder width apart. This will be your starting position.
- Your partner must take the other end of the towel. The part of the arm from the shoulder to the elbow should be near the head and perpendicular to the floor. On inspiration, lower your forearms by the head along a semicircular trajectory. Continue until the forearms touch the biceps. Hint: the part of the arm about the shoulder to the elbow remains stationary, the movement is performed only by the forearms.
- On exhalation return to the starting position, straining the triceps.
- Carry out the necessary number of repetitions.
Attention: your partner does not have to make great efforts to keep the towel. As you gain experience in doing this stretch, the partner should increase resistance by pulling the towel toward him.
Variations: you can also perform this exercise sitting or stretching each hand alternately.
