The press in lifting the trunk from a lying position is the technique of performing the exercise:
- Lie down on the bench, holding the bar at the chest level. Make sure that the legs are securely locked. This will be your starting position.
- Take a breath, strain the muscles of the abdominal and gluteal muscles. On exhalation, simultaneously twist forward and press the bar above your head, as shown in the figure. Tip: When focusing on the work, concentrate on the hands.
- On inhalation, return to the starting position by lowering the bar.
- Carry out the necessary number of repetitions.
Attention: during the execution of this exercise, use the help of a partner who will give and remove the bar. Also, we recommend starting with an empty neck and avoiding jerks while driving.
